| * * * Solntsevo is one of the youngest districts of the capital. Here, in a picturesque place near a large pond, two residential districts are being built. Soon thousands of Muscovites will celebrate the first housewarming. The construction site is expanding. Already in the New Peredelkin, which got its name from the old dacha village, preparations are underway for the construction of the next three microdistricts. Now the architects of Mosproekt-1 workshop No. 15 (head E. Stamo) are preparing a new project for the 10th and 11th microdistricts. Each of them is distinguished by an original compositional solution. On an area of about 50 hectares, residential houses for 24 thousand residents, social and cultural enterprises will be built. Moscow is rightfully considered the center of world musical culture. There will also be a House of Music here, the need for which has long been overdue. A place has also been chosen for the future center of musical culture — on Vosstaniya Square, next to the Fyodor Chaliapin House-Museum, opposite the Institute of Advanced Training of Doctors — the former Widow's House, an architectural monument of the XVIII century. The House of Music will have large and small concert halls, rooms for the Central Music Library for 200 thousand volumes and a rental library for 200 thousand scores. The Unions of Composers of the USSR and the RSFSR, the Moscow Composer Organization, the USSR Music Fund, and the editorial offices of music publications will move to the new building. The team of architects "Mosproekt-2" under the leadership of M. Posokhin has developed a competitive project. * * * 45 km of underground tracks should be laid by Moscow metro builders in this five-year plan. The development of the construction sites of the future Lublin metro line begins. The length of the section from "Kursk" to "Lublin" will be 14 km. The SMU-1 Metrostroy team completed the breakdown on the ground near the station "Printers", the penultimate on the line. * * * Two buildings are being built near Oktyabrskaya Square for the I. V. Tomsk Secondary Art School at the V. I. Surikov Institute. The school is the center of secondary art education in our country. Children from 5th to 11th grade from Moscow, the Union republics, and foreign countries study here. In addition to classrooms for general education disciplines, workshops for special subjects will appear in the complex. The project, which was created by the specialists of the Mosproject-2 workshop No. 5, provides for the creation of a boarding school-a dormitory for nonresident students, a canteen, assembly and sports halls, a swimming pool, a museum hall for the demonstration of art works. The general contractor is the department No. 80 of the Mosstroy Trust No. 25. * * * A protective green stripe is created around the ring road. Multi-row landscaping will be carried out for several seasons, because the length of the motorway around the city is 109 km. In the spring, specialists of the production site of the RSU of the Gordormechanization trust No. 3, headed by foreman A. Tikhomirov, completed planting on the segment between Dmitrovsky and Altufyevsky highways. In autumn, a green multi-row appeared along the transport interchanges connecting the MKAD with Ostashkovsky, Ryazan, Yaroslavl highways. * * * A covered market is being built in Babushkinsky district. It is being built by the construction management team of Energozhilpromstroy of the Mosenergomontazh trust. The installation of the hotel has been completed, its internal arrangement is underway. Specialists of the Mosprommontazh SU-119 trust have started work, who will mount a metal frame over the market's retail area. * * * The Executive Committee of the Moscow City Council accepted the proposal of the GlavAPU of Moscow and the executive committee of the Gagarin District Council and assigned the name of A. I. Pokryshkin to the future street between Vernadsky Avenue and the projected passage N2 5411. A memorial plaque will be installed on one of the houses: "Pokryshkin Street was named in 1986 in memory of a prominent Soviet military commander, three times Hero of the Soviet Union, Marshal of Aviation Alexei Ivanovich Pokryshkin (1913-1985)."
