The Vice President, Media Sales Strategic Planning will report to the SVP of NFL Media Sales. This role is responsible for setting the strategy for monetization of all assets under the NFL Media sales portfolio. The position will work closely with the NFL media sales and finance teams and a myriad of internal departments across the NFL.

Responsibilities

Manage P&L for the advertising sales across the NFL owned and operated portfolio, which includes both linear and digital assets.
Lead the media sales financial planning process for annual budget along with long-range planning initiatives.
Develop the overall strategy including new business initiatives, renewals, and category analysis while supporting the development of alternative advertising models.
Present revenue pacing and analysis to senior management.
Possess the ability to detect trends in the marketplace in order to identify new cross platform pricing and packaging strategies.
Lead and mentor team of ~12 Planning and Inventory members for both linear and digital.
Focus on driving yield through effective pricing and packaging strategies across the NFL owned & operated portfolio.
Lead strategy and implementation of third party and programmatic video opportunities for NFL Digital.
Partner with Product & Technology teams on enhancements that improve our ability to execute and deliver on media campaigns across the portfolio.
Partner with 3rd party Operations team to improve monetization of digital media assets within VOD and live game inventory.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor?s degree
Minimum of 15 years experience with focus on sales strategy across linear and digital platforms.
Strong understanding of the media sales environment with a focus on alternative ad models and multi-platform packaging.
Experience leading a team with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Experience working with C-level executives, and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
Must have good financial and analytical skills and be adept at prioritizing in a dynamic environment.
Experience in category analysis, asset development and financial planning.
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and deliver a collaborative approach to the business issues at hand.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

NFL employees required to work 40 hours per week.
In addition, this role requires client hospitality hours (i.e., attending games, client dinners, etc.)
FLSA exempt.

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.


Salary

$215,000 - $275,000 USD
