Transfer Pricing, Sr. Staff Accountant

Position Summary

Those at the Senior Staff level have built a fundamental knowledge base of technical skills and are continually expanding this knowledge to more advanced skills.  Additionally, Senior Staff are continually taking on greater responsibilities as they should be developing the skills necessary to take on the Senior role – in essence, they can be considered “seniors-in-training.”  Senior Staff should be able to perform tasks with little supervision.   They have a solid understanding of our Firm’s practices (within their specified discipline), policies, and culture.  They are available to assist Seniors in mentoring entry level staff, interns and paraprofessionals.

 

Tasks

• Working knowledge of all aspects of intercompany pricing arrangements between business entities 

• Understanding of transfer pricing concepts
• Manage functional analyses interviews to identify and assess clients cross-border intercompany transactions
• Ability to perform market studies and industry research
• Prepare complex company, industry and market research including participation in fact-finding interviews with client leadership teams
• Financial and economic analyses of intercompany transactions for services, intellectual property, tangible property and financial instruments
• Create client reports, presentations and technical articles
• Take ownership when working on client engagements from start to finance – planning, executing, directing and completing tax and transfer pricing projects while managing budgets
• Review and analyze financial statements and economic data
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance
• Maintain a good working relationship with clients and team members

Experience and Education

Education

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting (for Audit or Tax)

Experience

  • 4 years of transfer pricing experience
  • Experience in strategic transfer pricing studies, financial statement analysis, valuations, quantitative and competitive analysis is required
  • Public accounting or other professional services environment preferred

License / Certification

  • CPA
  • Must maintain required CPE credits annually

Legal / Compliance 

  • Must complete acknowledgement of Corporate Policy and Compliance Manual
  • Must complete acknowledgement of Employee Manual document
  • Must complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document
  • Governmental engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government
